Update on the Soter's

Hello everyone! We have been off the globe for the past month so I thought that I would just do a quick update of the Soter family in the month of January. First of all, Christmas and New Year's were the best! We were in Show Low for Christmas with my family and we actually got snow on Christmas day! Yeah! Then forNew Year's we were here playing with Nate and Brittanie West. So fun! January has been lots of craziness and lots of fun. Matthew is in potty train mode, Katie is moving her way into big girl mode and Nicholas is just enjoying playing the big brother and going to preschool. I just enrolled him in kindergarten at Franklin for the fall. That is so sad and hard for me to believe that my sweet little guy is growing up. I am not a fan of that (except it's so fun to see the kind, polite, sweet little boy that he's turning out to be). Steve is crazy busy with work, which has been a great blessing. Life is so good for us!

This is Katie having graduated to eating "big girl" food. Remember the days of your first child when it was baby food to the end my friend. No junk, nother wavering from the outlined infant diet. Well, here comes baby #3. This is Katie's first experience with lasagna and just last week she was introduced to the wonders of the McDonald's cheeseburger and french fry diet. Just call me Super Mom! At least my kids think so and that's all that matters right?
This is my beautiful baby girl with some serious bedhead. Hurray for bedhead! There aren't many cuter things to me and Katie has finally got it!

Here Maff is in his super cool unders and Nicholas in his super cool unders. Let me tell you what it was underwear all the time at our house. The only dilema I've found is that Nicholas takes great pride in being as naked as he can get away with. Matthew on the other hand prefers modesty and so with potty training he thinks he needs to be fully dressed until it's time to go. Let me tell you that makes for some serious laundry issues. (Is there anything cuter than little tiny underwear friends?!)

My underpants Matthew. Lookin' pretty confident! By the way, we seem to get this look a lot from Matthew in pictures. He isn't angry. He's just yelling "CHEESE!"

Nicholas and Matthew's favorite thing to do these days is to take apart my couch and make tunnels and forts in the cushions. It used to stress me out, but then I realized that they are having so much fun, it's not hurting anyone, I am free to get things done, and they know how to clean it up themselves. What have I got to lose? They were mighty proud of this little number so we had to memorialize it with a pic.

We have the best time playing with our best friends the West's on New Year's Eve. What luck that with their crazy schedule we got hooked up with the best hangout night ever! Their beautiful girlys were so much fun for my little guys. (I would say that we have two little matches made in heaven but alas, notice the height difference, not to mention the fact that they are like 2nd cousins once removed or something fancy like that). It was the best night ever!

Katie's hair is the best thing ever! I too love little munchkins in underwear! It totally lends itself to butt cheek pinching ;)

Busy, busy, busy. Nicholas is so short and it's funny that Mathew is even shorter! I LOVE new buns in undies and I can't keep my hands from pinching those little buns!
