Merry Christmas everyone! We are officially into the season and I am loving every minute of it! This year is extra great because Nicholas as a four year old is in the thick of Christmas cheer. It's so much fun to see him dressing up like Santa, writing letters to Santa, drawing pictures of Santa and so on. Christmas was so much fun when I was a little girl, and I just want to make it so special for my kids too. Matthew loves to sing "Jingle Bells" and talk about Santa too (even though he doesn't really get it). Katie is totally clueless, but what a cute little clueless girl she makes! I hope you are all having the greatest Christmas season as well! Here are some fun pictures of our adventures in tree decorating. Nicholas and Matthew look a wee bit perplexed. I suppose that sticking a large artificial pinetree in the living room is not an everyday "To Do".
This is what I tenderly refer to as "Katie's cheezy face". She looks rather pleased with herself. Nicholas is working diligently in the background.
This was the crowning ceremony of the night with the topping of the angel. Steve is the man to take on the task of tree decorating. He assembles the tree and helps the boys. What a great dad! Don't be deceived about the tree. It is fully decorated, it just happens to be decorated only in the reaches of little hands. Try not to let the "Trick or Treat" sign in the background detract from the spirit of the season. (I'm not too tall and so I don't tend to look up that high very often. It has come down since this picture though).
Katie is an innocent bystander in the craziness that goes with letting little boys loose with glass balls. I had to get out the dustpan and broom a couple of times, then I finally got smart and kept it close at hand for shattered balls.
This is a picture of my sweet little friends. I realize with the more kids you have, the less chance you have of capturing the perfect moment, but I love to look at the faces they make and remember their sweet and funny little personalities that I love so much. Oh, did you notice our such fun new wood floors?!

Your floors look GREAT!! I bet you LOVE them! It's crazy to see just how much your little princess has changed just since we moved here! FUN TIMES!
How fun you get to have your boys help you! I am the lone tree decorator at our house! I handed Gage the occassional ornament and forced his hand to the tree with it...just training him up I guess! Your wood floors look awesome by the way! I love wood floors! Well hopefully we will get to see you all sometime soon! Love you guys! xoxoxo
Don't you love Christmas? I laughed to myself the other day when I noticed your Halloween sign still hanging! What a nice mom to let your boys hang or even tough the glass bulbs! It looks really good and your kids are precious!
OH I cant handle how cute your kids are. Lets hang out sometime. seeing you for like 15 min wasnt enough the other day:) I love your Christmas tree and I love your new floors.
Your wood floors are beautiful! I also like the fact that you let your kids help with the tree - it's fun to let them help, huh?! I was admiring you for letting your kids decorate the lower half of the tree - most families only decorate the top half, to keep the little ones from touching the ornaments. You are awesome! ("Just keeping a broom and dust pan handy for broken bulbs"...I loved it!)
Your kids are getting so big! There is nothing better than when your kids start to really enjoy and understand Christmas.
Your floors are awesome! I had so much fun chattin' with ya after the party last week--we need to do dinner sometime!
